How to order your Prescriptions:

• Ordering via NHS App:

• Dropping your request into either sites of the Practice
• Posting your request to us

• Order via your regular Pharmacy if you are a vulnerable patient who requires assistance with medication ordering

 The Practice still requires 48 hours to process your prescription. This does not include any turnaround time that your current Pharmacy takes. Please ensure you order in adequate time as we will not guarantee prescribing for urgent requests.

 In the interest of Patient Safety, Green Cross Group Practice will not be providing a telephone ordering service due to the clinical risk that can be associated with ordering over the phone. Some requests for medication over the phone are not clear and can take considerable time and effort to clarify what is needed. By ordering online, prescription requests avoid potential confusion, transcription and medication issue errors.

The surgery offers both pre booked and on the day appointments. our on the day appointemnts are released each day at 8:30am, and are bookable either online or via the telephone.  Requests for on the day appointments finish at 10am or once capacity is reached, whichever occurs first. If we have reached capacity for the day we will assess what other services are appropriate , such as an out of hour hub appointments, NHs111 or direct you to the walk in centre.

Cancelling Appointments:

If you no longer need your appointment or need to cancel please let us know as soon as possible

• Cancel via the NHS app if you have booked online
• Call the surgery and select the cancel option

please note : If you are on regular repeat medication, you should ensure you have at least 3 weeks medication from your current practice before registering with us.

All New patients are required to attend for a new patient check with a nurse, if you fail to attend for your new patient check you maybe removed from our patient list.

Proxy access

Some patients find it helpful for a second person to have access to their online GP record. This is often a family member, medical next of kin, a close friend or a carer whom they trust to act on their behalf. This is called proxy access.

to request access we will need formal written consent for patients under adult age.

Test results are available either via your online services such as the NHS app, or by calling the surgery after 10:00 am
