If you have a healthcare concern or need to contact us for an admin issue such as ordering a sick not or requesting medication , click on the Anima link below and follow the instructions. Fill out the online form, which asks multiple-choice questions, similar to those a clinician would ask during an appointment. Anima requests are then reviewed by a GP and processed ensuring the right care for you. We will respond to every Anima request by the end of the next working day.

If you are unable to access or use the online triage, you can still call us, and one of our patient advisors will complete the anima triage for you by following the same process you would online.

• Order via your regular Pharmacy if you are a vulnerable patient who requires assistance with medication ordering

 The Practice still requires 48 hours to process your prescription. This does not include any turnaround time that your current Pharmacy takes. Please ensure you order in adequate time as we will not guarantee prescribing for urgent requests.

 In the interest of Patient Safety, Green Cross Group Practice will not be providing a telephone ordering service due to the clinical risk that can be associated with ordering over the phone. Some requests for medication over the phone are not clear and can take considerable time and effort to clarify what is needed. By ordering online, prescription requests avoid potential confusion, transcription and medication issue errors.

All New patients are required to attend for a new patient check with a nurse, if you fail to attend for your new patient check you maybe removed from our patient list.

Proxy access

Some patients find it helpful for a second person to have access to their online GP record. This is often a family member, medical next of kin, a close friend or a carer whom they trust to act on their behalf. This is called proxy access.

to request access we will need formal written consent for patients under adult age.

Jess’s Rule
Green Cross Group Practice is proud to follow guidance set out by Jess’s Rule.

Jess’s Rule is a primary care initiative to encourage GPs teams to rethink a diagnosis if a patient presents three times with the same symptoms or concerns, particularly if symptoms unexpectedly persist, escalate, or remain unexplained. It is led by the Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC) and NHS England and is supported by the Royal College of General Practitioners (RCGP).

Jess’s story
Jessica Brady passed away due to cancer in December 2020 at the age of 27. In the 5 months leading up to her death, Jess had 20 consultations with her GP practice, and her cancer had not been diagnosed. Jess was then admitted to hospital with stage 4 adenocarcinoma and passed shortly afterwards. Since then, Jess’s family have campaigned for primary care staff to elevate a patient’s case for review after their third appointment with their practice about a condition or symptom.

What is Jess’s Rule?
Jess’s Rule asks GP teams to ‘reflect, review and rethink’ if a patient presents three times with the same or escalating symptoms.
